Cynthia Bell, 66, from Durham, was helping at her husband's coach company when a man boarded the vehicle and refused to leave.
The man stabbed Ms Bell with a pen as she attempted to stop him touching the controls.
The incident occurred in a coach park at Seasiders Way in Blackpool at around 5pm on August 24.
Lancashire Police said the 66-year-old was lucky to avoid serious blood loss or nerve damage.
Police are also attempting to trace two young women who were with the suspect.
The first is said to be white, wearing a pink top with a floral print and walked with a limp and pushed a pram.
The second woman had blonde hair, a tattoo on the right side of her lower stomach and was wearing a cream jumper.
